Two of Greece's most pioneering "green" islands become the first municipalities to leverage Kyvee's technology for smart electric vehicle monitoring and management under real-world conditions.

Kyvee, a Greek startup in the field of e-mobility and digital energy management, announces the launch of two one-year pilot programs for electric vehicle fleet management in the municipalities of Astypalaia and Tilos. The pilots are implemented in collaboration with the DAFNI Sustainable Islands Network, a key organization working with local government to advance sustainable development across the Greek islands.

Technology that unlocks the full value of EV data

Kyvee's Fleet Management platform gives municipalities a complete, real-time view of their electric fleet: charging status, routes, vehicle availability, and energy consumption. Through a unified digital platform, fleet managers can optimize the use of each vehicle, reduce operational costs, and track the environmental performance of their fleet against concrete targets.

"Municipalities that invest in e-mobility need tools that allow them to get the most out of that investment," said Vassilis Kalavrouziotis, CEO and co-founder of Kyvee. "The pilots on Astypalaia and Tilos are our proof that smart electric fleet management can work even under the most demanding conditions — on islands with distinct energy profiles and highly dispersed infrastructure."

Two islands with a track record in the green transition

The choice of Astypalaia and Tilos is no coincidence. Both islands are at the forefront of the energy and environmental transition at a European level.

Astypalaia has developed a distinct transition model built on e-mobility and the digital organization of transportation. The rollout of a comprehensive charging network is transforming how residents and visitors move around the island. Today, Astypalaia is internationally recognized as one of Europe's most ambitious examples of a "smart" island destination.

Tilos was one of the first real-world cases of a hybrid energy system combining renewable energy sources with energy storage in Europe. The island continues to serve as a model for sustainable development, integrating new technologies into energy and transportation management.

The full cost of both pilots is covered entirely by Kyvee. The data collected will form the foundation for expanding and further developing the Kyvee platform. Kyvee's goal is to build a common digital infrastructure that enables any municipality or private company with an electric fleet — regardless of size — to manage their vehicles efficiently.
